From its early days as "Mud Creek" to its role as a stop on the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad, Savona has a long history of community and transformation. Today, the village is home to a variety of small businesses and a close-knit community. At Alfred Web Design & Shirts, we're proud to help Savona businesses thrive in the digital age.
Savona was originally known as "Mud Creek" in the 1800s. As the community grew, residents sought a more appealing name. Dr. Marsena Terry suggested the name "Savona," after a city in Italy. On October 21, 1850, the village and its post office officially adopted the name Savona. The name has stuck ever since, and it serves as a reminder of the town's commitment to its community and its history.
At Alfred Web Design & Shirts, we appreciate the unique character of Savona and its local landmarks. We believe that a strong online presence can help preserve and promote the stories of local businesses and organizations, and we're proud to offer our services to the Savona community.
